Prudent Son vs Disgraceful Son
He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
The prudent son works when there is work to do.
The disgraceful son sleeps.
Lazy Or Diligent Hands
Lazy hands make for poverty,
but diligent hands bring wealth.
Your very own hands will bring you
either poverty or wealth.
So put your lazy hands to work.
Cravings Fulfilled And Thwarted
The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,
but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.
All I have needed your hand has provided.
Great is your faithfulness, Lord, unto me.
Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Thomas Obadiah Chisholm
As for the Wicked,
the Lord actually thwarts their cravings.
Or Is It Ill-Booten Gotty?
Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value,
but righteousness delivers from death.
Stolen bounty can result in short term gain.
But righteousness is eternal.
Wisdom vs Foolishness
The proverbs of Solomon:
A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
Wisdom is contrasted with foolishness.
Looks like Wisdom is preferred.
