Do Not Add To The Scriptures
Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Do not add to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Many false religions have been founded
by adding to the Scriptures.
They will not be listed here,
but take an honest look at your religion.
The first person to add to the scriptures
was Eve in Genesis 3:2-3:
The woman said to the serpent,
“We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
but God did say,
‘You must not eat fruit from the tree
that is in the middle of the garden,
and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
God did not say not to TOUCH the fruit.
Eve touched it and she did not die,
then she ate it and died.
Adding to the Scriptures brings
God’s rebuke to you,
and proves you to be a liar.
Greedy For Bribes
By justice a king gives a country stability,
but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down.
Those greedy politicians,
who are so easily bribed,
Praising The Wicked
Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked,
but those who heed it resist them.
Forsaking instruction praises the wicked.
Heeding instruction resists them.
Jealousy vs Anger And Fury
Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming,
but who can stand before jealousy?
Jealousy is harder to contend with than anger and fury.
The end of Jealousy is intolerable.
Fooled By The Fool
Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
or you yourself will be just like him.
The best advice seems to be to stay away from the fool.
Do not talk to him or respond to him.
This seems contrary to Christian training,
but it is still sage advice.
